Can I access my files using sftp?
I tried connecting using an sftp client to port 22 and was prompted for my username, but once I entered that, the connection was dropped.

We don't support SFTP. But you can use FTP over SSL, which is also secure.

Or you can use DriveHQ FileManager 4.0, which support HTTPS and data encryption.

Has the sftp setup changed since this post or is it still unavailable?

 Hi Heidi,

As it stood with the previous respond on this thred, you can use FTPS (FTP over SSL), but we do not support SFTP.

DriveHQ FileManager 6.0 is still a valid alternative for HTTPS and data encryption.

Correction: DriveHQ does support SFTP.  However, SFTP is only available to paid members. Users need to connect to proftp.drivehq.com to use SFTP.

For information about how to configure SFTP with FileZilla, please visit:

Thank you for the link about configuring the FileZilla Client for SFTP.  Where are the Server configuration instructions?  I expect something to describe setting an SSH public key for a Subuser.  (Please don't repeat that it's only available to paid members.  We are a paid member with subusers & need instructions.)

DriveHQ's SFTP hosting service supports SFTP Secure Key Pairs. You can generate the key pair online (by DriveHQ), or generate it using PUTTYgen on Windows, or ssh-keygen on Mac / Linux. This feature requires an Enterprise subscription (from $14/month for up to 5 accounts). To access this feature, please log on to DriveHQ.com website, go to My Account page, then click Security, or click the link below:
