Hi

For a paid account, we can create several sub users.        How can we limit the number of times a particular sub user

can download a prticular file in a week ?

We need to control these sub users' privileges, as some of them who are living in foreign countries don't understand

English well, and they tend to ignore our written instructions and sometimes do the opposite of what was told to them.

So with some rigid  hard written rules on server usage, we wish to be able to curb their abuse.

  We will change their access password everyweek, and to limit their number of  downloads per week.

Please advise.  Thank you

 Thanks so much for your post, Anthony.

From our subscription page, you will be able to order as many subsusers as you need. So the limit for a paid account will be determined by this subscription.

As for your second question - the easiest way to handle 'by user' restrictions would be to create a shared folder for each user individually. This way, you can have total control over the acessibility any given user has over their shared material.

Please feel free to email support@drivehq.com if you have any additional questions.

Best,
DriveHQ Team

Thanks support,

Can you suggest which would be the best and most cost effective subscription that I can purchase based on the scenario given above?

We would like to start small and before upgrading the subscription to accomodate for others (our own staff and business partners) around the world.

We want to have a pilot project first to test out our distribution system before expanding further.

>>> How can we limit the number of times a particular sub user can download a prticular file in a week ?

When you share a folder, you can specify an expiration time. However, the system does not limit the number of times a user can download a file.

If you have to limit the number of download times, you can:

(1) Create a sub-account and allocate a small amount of download bytes and storage space;

(2) From the Group Admin account, you can directly log on as the sub-user;

(3) Upload (copy) the file to a folder in the sub-account, then share the folder to other users.

This way, the max number of download times is determined by the file size and the sub-user's max download bytes. As the group owner / admin, you can re-allocate storage space and download bytes at any time.

Our service pricing is dependent on your number of users and storage space. Could you please email us how many user licenses and how much storage space you need?

Yes, you can order a low level plan first and upgrade as your need increases. Our user license price is only $6/user/year. (You can order 5 user licenses at only $30/year). Please visit our Pricing page or Subscribe page for more detailed info about our prices.
