You guys missed one key bet...

I want to have a bunch of files synchronized onto multiple users' machines - one publisher, multiple readers.

But you can't synch to a shared folder if you are not the sharer!!!!

Read only synching should be possible.

If we had this we would be using the product and synching everyone to shared templates, projects, etc.  and paying for more storage and downloading when we used up the free amount.

In a few weeks, we will release a new version FileManager that supports two way synchronization, which should meet your requirement.

In the mean time, please try our sharing and collaboration feature that's built into every version of FileManager. Pay attention to a special folder: "DriveHQ Share", this folder contains all folders shared to you by your friends. Similarly, the folders you share to other will also appear in other people's "DriveHQ Share" folder. By sharing one single folder with a group of people, everybody can access the shared folder by logging on their own accounts without the need of a password! Plus, you can set different permission when sharing to different people. futhre, the same folder can be shared multiple times under different share name.

Forgot to mention we are also adding support for synching to shared folders. Please also note when you copy a folder from server to local with FileManager, it handles it in a very smart way. Basically, if the SAME file has been copied before, it won't copy (download) again. that is, it supports incremental copy. With this and the group sharing feature, I hope they can meet your current needs.
