Hi there,

Would you kindly let me know how much streaming bandwidth the basic residential plans allow, in megabits per second?

For example, can I estimate that a 1080x1920 image is 6MB, so the streaming rate is 2 Mbps, if my subscription allows one 1080x1920 image every three seconds?

Furthermore, does the client or the server manage the streaming bandwidth?

I'm grateful.

In general, with CameraFTP service, users don't need to worry about the storage or bandwidth usage (sort of like they get "unlimited storage/bandwidth"). They just need to configure their cameras to upload based on the service plan(s) they ordered. Users can customize a service plan based on their budget and quality requirements.

Users don't need to manually delete files. Old files are automatically deleted based on the service plan's retention time.

There is generally no limit to view your own cameras, or cameras shared with you, or public cameras published on CameraFTP.com.

If you publish cameras on CameraFTP (and embed it in your own web page), and if your cameras become super popular that attracted a lot of views, then you might need to pay for additional bandwidth. Because CameraFTP already includes a lot of bandwidth, this case is very rare.

Lastly, CameraFTP offers 4 recording types: (1) Image recording; (2) Video recording; (3) Time-lapse recording; (4) CameraFTP VSS Local Recording. For regular surveillance, if your camera supports video recording, then we recommend video recording. Video recording is more efficient than image recording and the cost is lower.
