The setup steps are very similar.
Step 1: Setup the Camera – Find the Camera’s IP Address
Please refer to the manufacturer’s manual for more detailed information.
Turn on the camera; connect the camera with a network cable.
Note: This IP Camera is not wireless IP Camera.
From a PC in the same network, insert the camera’s software
CD and install the setup wizard. After it is installed, run the Setup Wizard.
You will see the screen like below:
Click on “Search” to find the D-link camera in the same network.
Step 2: Configure the Camera Using the Web-based Configuration Tool
Open a web browser and access the Camera’s configuration
page at:
http://192.168.1.135/.
(Please replace the IP address with the real IP address
found using the SwannEye Search Tool), log on the configuration tool. According
to the manual, the default username is admin and the password is blank . (It is
recommended that you change the password.)
Please click this link “Click here to download NCSPlugin and
install. And then re-open your browser is reconnended. ”, it will download
NCSPlugin, please install, and then restart your browser.
Step 3: Set the Image Resolution
In the above screen, click “SETUP”, then click “Audio and Video”, it will open the following page.
If you subscribe image plan on CameraFTP.com, please set “VIDEO
PROFILE 3”, please select resolution which match your CameraFTP subscription.
For most home users or casual users, 320x176 is ok.
For better image quality, you can choose 640x352. Please
note this will increase the bandwidth and storage usage by about 4 times. The
CameraFTP subscription cost is also significantly higher.
If you subscribe video plan on CameraFTP.com, please select
any of these three video profiles (“VIDEO PROFFLE 1”,”VIDEO PROFILE 2”,”VIDEO
PROFILE 3”), and select resolution and FPS
which match your CameraFTP subscription. Note: About Encode Type, MPEG4 is
recommended, if you select H.264, it will upload avi file to
Cameraftp.com, most of browsers cannot play it except IE.
Step 4: Setup CameraFTP Service
If you don’t have an account on CameraFTP.com, please visit
www.cameraftp.com and sign up a free trial account. CameraFTP.com offers 3-day
free trial. After 3 days, you need to order our paid subscription to continue
using the service.
Assuming you have an account on CameraFTP.com, and
you have subscribed image plan on Cameraftp.com, then click on the “Snapshot” on the left side.
Check the checkbox “Snapshot”, Trigger by Motion is recommended.
About Motion Detection, click on the tab “Motion Detection” on the left side, please see below photo.
Check the checkbox “Enable Video Motion”, and draw motion area, then save settings, go back to the tab “Snapshot”.
Check the checkbox “FTP”, please enter the following information.
Your Camera Name is created on www.CameraFTP.com website when you add a new camera. (See the screenshot below)
If you subscribe video on CameraFTP.com, please see below photo.
Check the checkbox “Video Clip”, Trigger by Motion is also recommended.
Video Clip Type: about source, please select profile you set at step 3.
Target: please enter almost same with snapshot paragraph described.
You can visit www.cameraftp.com to monitor or play back your recorded images from anywhere.
